Introduction to Italian Wine

New dates to be confirmed

About This Event

The world is enchanted by all things Italian, not least the wine. In this three-week course, our Master of Wine Brendan Jansen will guide wine enthusiasts on a passionate journey covering the length and breadth of Italy, with a special focus on the wines of Tuscany and Piedmont.

Italy has a rich vinous history and is home to more than 2000 varieties. The diverse styles and varieties from many different regions and islands can be confusing. Let Brendan make some sense of this powerhouse wine nation, where quality over quantity has been a recent focus.

Each week, taste 8 different wines and discover the breadth of variety, style and quality of Italian wine – alongside complementary dishes from our kitchen. By course end, you’ll easily make sense of an imposing Italian wine list, anywhere in the world. The course is suitable for everyone from wine enthusiasts to those working in the wine industry.
